National, August 18, 2026: Swiggy has announced the rollout of Guru, a 24×7 AI Business Partner designed specifically for its restaurant partners across India.
The new AI-powered assistant aims to simplify day-to-day restaurant management by enabling restaurant owners to access business insights, analyse payouts, track campaign performance, launch advertisements and modify discounts through a single conversational chat interface.
Guru will be available through Swiggy’s restaurant partner app and can communicate in more than 20 vernacular languages, including Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Assamese, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam and Telugu.
The platform has been designed to help restaurant partners make faster, data-driven decisions while reducing the complexity of managing multiple operational tasks.
Business Insights Through a Single Chat
With Guru, restaurant owners can start, review and modify advertising campaigns through simple chat prompts. The AI assistant can also provide a detailed analysis of business performance, including GMV, orders, sales, Average Order Value (AOV) and more than 30 other performance metrics.
Restaurant partners can use the insights to identify areas that may not be performing well and receive recommendations aimed at improving business outcomes.
The platform also provides access to payout-related information, including detailed payout annexures, tax reports and payout summaries.
Helping Restaurants Optimise Their Menus
Guru also offers menu-related insights, enabling restaurant partners to add items, generate descriptions and identify top-selling products.
By analysing category performance and sales trends, the AI assistant aims to provide personalised recommendations that can help restaurant owners better understand customer preferences and improve their offerings.
Speaking about the launch, Rohit Kapoor, CEO of Swiggy Food Marketplace, said that artificial intelligence is transforming the way businesses operate and helping improve efficiency across industries.
He noted that Swiggy’s experience of working with restaurant partners for more than a decade has provided the company with an understanding of the multiple operational responsibilities restaurant owners manage every day.
According to Kapoor, Guru is designed as an intuitive AI-first assistant that provides round-the-clock support, faster query resolution and actionable business insights.
Launching Across More Than 720 Cities
Swiggy plans to roll out Guru across more than 720 cities, with the AI assistant expected to benefit over 2.7 lakh restaurants, ranging from neighbourhood kitchens to large multi-outlet restaurant businesses.
The launch represents another step in the growing use of artificial intelligence within India’s food and restaurant technology ecosystem.
By making real-time business data, campaign management and operational insights accessible through a conversational interface, Guru aims to help restaurant partners streamline their operations, improve efficiency and make better-informed business decisions.
With multilingual accessibility and 24×7 availability, Swiggy’s Guru could make AI-powered business assistance more accessible to a diverse range of restaurant owners across India.
