JCI Curchorem, Lions Club of Kakoda and Partners Organise Successful Blood Donation Camp
Curchorem, Goa: Demonstrating the spirit of service and community welfare, JCI Curchorem, Lions Club of Kakoda, Guardian Angel Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (GAIHMCT), Loving Hearts Goa, and the GMC Blood Bank jointly organised a successful Blood Donation Camp on July 25, 2026, at Guardian Angel IHMCT, Curchorem.
The camp was inaugurated by Lion Harishkumar Nair, District Chairperson for Blood Donation Camps, District 317-B, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Raynold D’Souza, Principal of Guardian Angel IHMCT, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The initiative was conducted under the leadership of JFM Grahfarj N. P. Fernandes, President of JCI Curchorem, and Lion Adv. Fragrance Rosy Fernandes, President of the Lions Club of Kakoda. The event was efficiently coordinated by Project Director JC Adv. Franskina Gama.
The blood donation camp received an enthusiastic response from students of Guardian Angel IHMCT, along with members of JCI Curchorem and Lions Club of Kakoda, who voluntarily came forward to donate blood and contribute towards saving lives.
Organisers highlighted that voluntary blood donation remains one of the noblest acts of humanity, helping hospitals maintain adequate blood supplies for emergency treatments, surgeries, accident victims, and patients suffering from chronic illnesses.
The collaborative effort reflected the commitment of all partner organisations towards promoting health awareness, social responsibility, and community service. The organisers also expressed gratitude to all donors, volunteers, medical professionals from the GMC Blood Bank, and supporting organisations for making the camp a grand success.
