Hanumakonda: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan visited 17-year-old Niranjan, a devoted fan battling a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder, at his residence in Hanumakonda, Telangana, on Wednesday.
The visit fulfilled a long-cherished wish of the teenager, who had expressed his desire to meet the actor-politician. However, Pawan Kalyan later revealed that the meeting left him deeply inspired by Niranjan’s courage and resilience.
Sharing photographs from the visit on social media platform X, Pawan Kalyan said he had come across a video of the teenager and learned about his heartfelt wish to meet him.
“I went there believing I was fulfilling his wish. But in truth, it was Niranjan who left me inspired. His courage, resilience and unwavering spirit deeply moved me,” he wrote.
The actor-politician spent nearly 45 minutes interacting with Niranjan and his family, learning about his medical condition and ongoing treatment. The teenager has been living with a rare genetic neuromuscular disorder that has left him bedridden and affected his physical growth.
During the emotional interaction, Pawan Kalyan embraced Niranjan, offered him prasadam from the sacred Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple, and announced financial assistance of ₹1 lakh towards his medical treatment.
He also assured the family that special prayers would be offered at Bhadrakali Temple for Niranjan’s recovery.
The visit included moments of nostalgia as Pawan Kalyan watched old videos showing Niranjan dancing and mimicking him during healthier days. When the teenager expressed his wish to own a pet dog, the actor promised to arrange one for him.
Understanding the financial challenges faced by the family, Pawan Kalyan also directed leaders of the Jana Sena Party to explore establishing a canteen that could provide the family with a sustainable source of income.
In his social media post, the Deputy Chief Minister thanked the Telangana government and local authorities for facilitating the visit. He also expressed gratitude to Jana Sena Party workers and supporters who gathered in Warangal to welcome him.
Following the meeting, Pawan Kalyan visited the Bhadrakali Temple to offer prayers.
The touching interaction has been widely appreciated by fans and supporters, highlighting the actor-politician’s compassionate gesture towards a young admirer facing extraordinary challenges.
