Actor Yami Gautam and filmmaker Aditya Dhar visited the sacred Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain on Wednesday, accompanied by their son Vedavid Dhar and other family members.
The spiritual visit included Yami’s brother Ojas Gautam, who has previously worked as an assistant director on Aditya Dhar’s projects, along with their parents and close relatives.
After offering prayers at one of India’s most revered Jyotirlingas, Yami expressed her happiness and gratitude at finally being able to visit the temple. She revealed that she had long wanted to seek blessings at Mahakaleshwar but was unable to do so during the shooting of Oh My God 2 due to work commitments.
Speaking about the experience, Yami said she had always heard immense praise about the temple and its spiritual significance. She added that when the call of Mahakal comes, it is impossible to ignore, and described herself as fortunate to receive blessings alongside her entire family.
The actress also appreciated the efforts of the temple authorities in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and smooth arrangements for the thousands of devotees who visit the shrine every day.
The Mahakaleshwar Temple continues to attract prominent personalities from the film industry. In recent months, several celebrities, including Kailash Kher, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Celina Jaitly, have visited the shrine.
Earlier this year, actress Tamannaah Bhatia participated in the temple’s famous Bhasma Aarti, while actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff also sought blessings at the revered temple.
The visit by Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar reflects the growing trend among celebrities to seek spiritual solace and blessings at important religious destinations across India.
