JCI Margao’s 4th Free Eye Checkup Camp Helps 300 People; Over 1,000 Served Across Four Camps

Margao — JCI Margao successfully organised its 4th Free Eye Checkup Camp on 24 May 2026 at Davorlim Panchayat Hall, drawing an overwhelming response from the local community. Around 300 people received free eye examinations and were provided with eyeglasses where required.

This latest event brings the cumulative reach of JCI Margao’s eye-care initiatives to more than 1,000 beneficiaries across four camps held at different locations in Margao. The programme aims to increase awareness about eye health, identify vision problems early, and provide practical support to those who cannot afford eye care.

The camp featured volunteer ophthalmologists and optometrists who conducted screenings, diagnosed common eye conditions, and recommended corrective measures. Spectacles were distributed free of charge to attendees identified as needing vision correction.

JCI Margao expressed heartfelt appreciation to the medical professionals, volunteers, club members, and community supporters whose dedication made the camp possible. The organisation reiterated its commitment to continue such outreach programmes to promote health, inclusion, and well‑being across Margao.
