Moira, Goa — Joshua D’Cruz of Moira has made history for Goa by clearing the All India JEE (Advanced) 2026 Examination, securing the 69th rank in the CRL‑PWD category. He is expected to enroll at an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in the forthcoming admission rounds, marking a major milestone for inclusive achievement in the state.
A student of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Mapusa, Joshua completed his Class XII from the institution after earlier studying at Holy Cross Convent High School, Bastora. Beyond academics, he is a talented musician who plays six instruments, reflecting a blend of scholastic dedication and artistic talent.
Joshua is the first person with a disability from Goa to pass the JEE (Advanced), a fact that has drawn congratulations from across the community. The Disability Rights Association of Goa praised his perseverance and achievement in an official congratulatory message, wishing him all the best for his future academic pursuits.
