Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton gave Harry Potter fans a magical blast from the past when they reunited at a Tony Awards after-party in New York City.
The beloved actors, who famously portrayed Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy in the globally successful Harry Potter film franchise, were spotted together at an exclusive after-party hosted by John Gore and Rick Miramontez at The Carlyle. Photographs from the event quickly spread across social media, delighting fans who were thrilled to see the former Hogwarts rivals sharing a warm moment years after the conclusion of the film series.
Radcliffe attended the event following his Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actor for his acclaimed role in the stage production Every Brilliant Thing. Felton, meanwhile, continues to enjoy a successful Broadway run in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, where he reprises his iconic role as Draco Malfoy.
Although Harry Potter and the Cursed Child did not secure a Tony nomination this year, Felton’s return to the Wizarding World has proven immensely popular with audiences. His Broadway engagement has already been extended twice and is now scheduled to continue until at least November.
The reunion marked yet another chapter in the long-standing friendship between the two actors. Less than a year ago, Radcliffe and Felton were also photographed together during a screening of Merrily We Roll Along in New York, once again exciting fans of the franchise.
Felton has previously spoken about Radcliffe’s influence on his own theatre journey. During an interview with Good Morning America, he revealed that he had taken inspiration from Radcliffe’s successful transition to stage acting and credited him as one of the reasons he felt encouraged to pursue Broadway opportunities.
The timing of the reunion is particularly significant as the Wizarding World prepares for a major revival. HBO Max is currently developing a new Harry Potter television series, introducing a fresh generation of actors to iconic roles. Dominic McLaughlin will portray Harry Potter, while Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout will take on the roles of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley respectively.
While fans eagerly await the next chapter of the Harry Potter universe, the reunion of Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton served as a heartwarming reminder of the franchise’s enduring legacy and the friendships it continues to inspire around the world.
