Sunil Pal has once again taken a sharp dig at Samay Raina and his controversial roast-style talent show India’s Got Latent Season 2.
In a recent interaction that surfaced online, Sunil sarcastically dismissed the idea of appearing as a guest on the show and mocked its judging format while indirectly targeting Samay.
When asked whether he would consider appearing on India’s Got Latent Season 2, Sunil replied in a sarcastic tone, saying the show was “too big” for someone like him.
“I will not go because it is such a big show and not suitable for someone like me. I am a small artiste,” he remarked.
The comedian then escalated his criticism by suggesting that Samay should invite his own parents to sit on the judging panel for the new season.
Referring to the judge setup often seen on comedy reality shows, including the presence of Archana Puran Singh on comedy shows, Sunil mocked the format and said Samay should seat his mother and father as judges and perform the show in front of them.
The remarks come months after India’s Got Latent became embroiled in controversy following explicit comments made by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia during one of the episodes. The incident sparked outrage online and reportedly led to legal complaints and FIRs against several creators associated with the show.
During the controversy, Sunil Pal had openly criticised Samay Raina, Ranveer Allahbadia and the creators involved, accusing them of negatively influencing younger audiences with objectionable content.
Despite the criticism, India’s Got Latent continued to gain popularity online, especially among younger viewers who enjoyed its unfiltered roast-comedy format.
Interestingly, Sunil and Samay also shared light-hearted banter during their appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, showing that their rivalry has often blended criticism with humour.
Meanwhile, Samay Raina recently confirmed the return of India’s Got Latent during his live show Still Alive, officially announcing the second season of the viral comedy format.
The upcoming season has already generated major buzz online, especially after leaked set images featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari reportedly surfaced from the first episode shoot.
