The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) is set to celebrate Goa’s rich monsoon traditions with “Purumentachem Fest”, scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 3, 2026, at the Multiplex Courtyard.
The festival aims to promote Goa’s traditional monsoon essentials while providing a platform for local artisans, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and food vendors to showcase and sell their products.
ESG has invited applications from participants involved in products traditionally associated with the monsoon season. The festival will feature a wide variety of categories including:
- Dry fish
- Agricultural products and spices
- Traditional Goan sweets
- Household tools and utensils
- Pottery and earthenware
- Ceramic Goan storage items
- Nursery and kitchen garden products
- Locally extracted oils
- Seasonal fruit-based products such as raw mango, cashew, kokum, and tamarind
- Homemade products including pickles, masalas, papads
- Coir-based products
- Traditional fishing tools and accessories
- Indigenous grains and millets
The initiative is designed to support local businesses while preserving Goa’s traditional monsoon lifestyle and culinary heritage.

ESG has clarified that stalls will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, encouraging interested vendors to apply early.
The festival is expected to attract both locals and tourists eager to experience authentic Goan monsoon traditions and products.
