ESG Announces “Purumentachem Fest” 2026, Invites Goan Artisans & Food Vendors to Showcase Monsoon Traditions


The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) is set to celebrate Goa’s rich monsoon traditions with “Purumentachem Fest”, scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 3, 2026, at the Multiplex Courtyard.

The festival aims to promote Goa’s traditional monsoon essentials while providing a platform for local artisans, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, and food vendors to showcase and sell their products.

ESG has invited applications from participants involved in products traditionally associated with the monsoon season. The festival will feature a wide variety of categories including:

  • Dry fish
  • Agricultural products and spices
  • Traditional Goan sweets
  • Household tools and utensils
  • Pottery and earthenware
  • Ceramic Goan storage items
  • Nursery and kitchen garden products
  • Locally extracted oils
  • Seasonal fruit-based products such as raw mango, cashew, kokum, and tamarind
  • Homemade products including pickles, masalas, papads
  • Coir-based products
  • Traditional fishing tools and accessories
  • Indigenous grains and millets

The initiative is designed to support local businesses while preserving Goa’s traditional monsoon lifestyle and culinary heritage.

Interested participants can collect application forms directly from the ESG office or download them from the official website: www.esg.co.in

ESG has clarified that stalls will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, encouraging interested vendors to apply early.

The festival is expected to attract both locals and tourists eager to experience authentic Goan monsoon traditions and products.
