Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has addressed viral rumours claiming he was awarded a ₹1 crore bonus by the production house following the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar 2.
The actor, who earned praise for his portrayal of politician Jameel Jamali in the film, responded to the speculation with his trademark humour and clarified that no such amount has reached him.
Speaking to NDTV, Rakesh said, “Kayi log mujhe ye bata rahe hain ki mujhe production house se Dhurandhar ke baad ₹1 crore mila hai. Toh bhaiya woh kahan pada hai, kiske ghar mein rakha hai, kiski jeb mein hai, mujhe bata do yaar kahan kisi ne gaad ke rakha hai.”
He further joked that if someone knows where the money is hidden, they should let him know so he can collect it because nothing has been credited to his bank account yet.
The actor added that if the money ever does arrive, he may or may not reveal it publicly, but as of now, there is no truth to the reports.
Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2026. Released on March 19, the film follows an undercover intelligence officer, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates dangerous criminal and political networks in Karachi to stop terror activities targeting India.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action thriller also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles.
Despite the rumours, fans continue to appreciate Rakesh Bedi’s standout performance in the film, which has become one of the year’s biggest box office successes.
