JCI Ponda had the honour of hosting Bharath N. Acharya during his official visit to Zone 11 at Mahatma Gandhi Centenary School, Gaunem Bandora, Goa, on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The visit brought together members, past presidents, and key stakeholders in a celebration of leadership, service, and community development.
Accompanying the National President were several distinguished dignitaries including Chaturvedi Vutukuru, Mamta Naik, and Chetan Salelkar, along with school representatives Mr. Sadanand Naik and Mrs. Thalima Halarnkar.
The event witnessed the launch and presentation of multiple impactful initiatives by JCI Ponda. A key highlight was the adoption of the school under the Sustainable Solution Project, reinforcing the organisationโs commitment to long-term community development. The occasion also recognised individuals for their contributions, as media professional Dinesh N. Naik was felicitated by the National President, while Mr. Shankar Gaude was honoured under the โSalute the Silent Starโ initiative for his dedicated and often unseen efforts.
The programme also featured the unveiling of the Website Renaissance initiative, developed by JC Shrinivas Inamdar, aimed at strengthening the organisationโs digital presence. Additionally, the Sustainable Sipping Project was introduced, reflecting JCI Pondaโs focus on environmentally conscious practices.
Encouraging young talent, the Summer Camp 2026 prize distribution ceremony saw more than 60 students being awarded for their participation and achievements, with the National President personally presenting the honours.
The visit also included an engaging interaction between the National President and members of JCI Ponda, including past presidents, fostering meaningful discussions on leadership and future initiatives. The presentation of the National Presidentโs pin to all members added a special moment of pride and recognition.
The event underscored JCI Pondaโs ongoing efforts to create sustainable impact while nurturing leadership and community engagement at the grassroots level.
