Intimate Love Story: Kritika Kamra & Gaurav Kapur Tie the Knot in a Private Ceremony

In a refreshing departure from lavish celebrity weddings, Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Kapur tied the knot in an intimate registry ceremony held at Gauravโ€™s Mumbai residence on March 11.

Choosing to keep things simple and meaningful, the couple celebrated their union in the presence of only their closest family members and friends. Their decision reflects a growing trend among modern couples who prioritise personal connection over grandeur.

Opening up about their wedding, Kritika shared that for them, marriage was always more important than the wedding ceremony itself. She revealed that they consciously avoided the idea of a multi-day destination wedding or elaborate rituals, instead focusing on creating a day that felt authentic and stress-free.

โ€œHonestly, wedding was not the big deal, the marriage was,โ€ Kritika said in an interview, adding that they didnโ€™t want to follow a fixed schedule or perform for an audience. The couple wanted to enjoy their special day without pressure, allowing moments to unfold naturally.

Breaking the stereotype of chaotic weddings, Kritika described her experience as joyful and relaxed. Without the usual hustle of hosting and managing events, the couple was able to truly immerse themselves in the celebration, surrounded by love and warmth from family and friends.

She also highlighted how the ceremony was inclusive, welcoming elders and children alike, making it a wholesome family affair.

Now, nearly a month into married life, Kritika shared that the transition has been smooth and natural. Since both she and Gaurav already had established lives and routines, their marriage feels more like a seamless merging of two worlds rather than a drastic change.

The couple had made their relationship Instagram official in December 2025, and their quiet wedding earlier this year has since won admiration for its simplicity, authenticity, and heartfelt approach.
