Madgaon, September 5, 2026: Daivadnya Samaj, Madgaon, marked Teachers’ Day by felicitating and honouring the teachers and support staff of Jyot School for Children with Autism, Davorlim, Madgaon, in recognition of their dedicated service and tireless efforts towards the education and development of children with autism.
The felicitation programme was held on September 5, bringing together members of Daivadnya Samaj, Jyot School and its Education Cell to acknowledge the important role played by educators and support staff in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for children with special needs.
The dignitaries present included Shri Ramakant Raikar, President, Daivadnya Samaj, Madgaon; Shri Atul Verlekar, Vice President, Daivadnya Samaj; Shri Upendra Madkaikar, Education Cell Chairman of Daivadnya Samaj and Chairman of Jyot School; Shri Rohit Vernekar, Secretary, Daivadnya Samaj; Shri Dulba Sawant, Chairman, Jyot Society; and Smt. Varsha Desai, Headmistress, Jyot School.
Welcoming the gathering, Shri Ramakant Raikar expressed gratitude to the teachers and support staff for their inspiring work and for bringing hope and encouragement into the lives of children with autism and their families.
He appreciated their commitment and highlighted the significance of the work carried out by educators who dedicate themselves to understanding and supporting children with different learning needs.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Upendra Madkaikar, Chairman of Jyot School, thanked the teaching and support staff for their commitment.
He emphasised that working with children with special needs requires much more than conventional teaching. Every child learns differently, and educators need the ability to understand those individual differences and transform them into opportunities for learning, development and growth.
The teachers and support staff of Jyot School were felicitated and presented with tokens of appreciation as a gesture of gratitude for their continued service and dedication.
The programme was compered by Vrundawan Raikar.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Rohit Vernekar, Secretary, Daivadnya Samaj, Madgaon, who expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, support staff and members of the Education Cell for their participation and contribution towards the successful programme.
The Teachers’ Day celebration served as a heartfelt acknowledgement of educators and support staff who play an important role in empowering children with autism and helping them discover their individual abilities and potential.
