HYDERABAD: Megastar Chiranjeevi and filmmaker Bobby Kolli are currently shooting for their upcoming film ‘Kaaka’, with the team gearing up for its next major schedule in Hyderabad from September 7.
According to the latest update shared by KVN Productions, the upcoming schedule will be a lengthy and crucial phase of production, with all the major cast members expected to participate.
Production Moves Ahead at Full Speed
The latest development indicates that production on ‘Kaaka’ is progressing rapidly as the makers prepare to film several important sequences.
The film went on floors earlier this year and has already completed 40 days of shooting, while the first half of the edit has been locked, indicating steady progress on the project.
The film’s recently released glimpse has further raised expectations, showcasing a blend of intensity, emotion and high-octane action.
The interval fight sequence filmed recently is also said to be one of the major highlights of the film.
Chiranjeevi as Supervisor Satyam
Chiranjeevi plays Supervisor Satyam, a man working at an aquaculture company.
According to the film’s online synopsis, Satyam leads a peaceful existence until circumstances expose a dangerous side of his personality, drawing him into a world of gunfire and action.
The film also stars Anaswara Rajan, Nivetha Pethuraj, Sunil, Getup Srinu and others.
Music for the project has been composed by Thaman S.
Title Announced on Chiranjeevi’s Birthday
Previously referred to as ‘MEGA 158’, the film’s official title ‘Kaaka’ was announced on August 22, coinciding with Chiranjeevi’s birthday.
The project has generated considerable anticipation, particularly following the glimpse and reports surrounding its action sequences.
Chiranjeevi’s cooperation and commitment to the production have also been credited for the film’s rapid progress.
No Postponement; Sankranthi 2027 Release Confirmed
While unverified reports recently suggested that ‘Kaaka’ could be postponed to summer 2027, the latest update indicates that there is no such postponement.
The film remains officially scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on January 13, 2027.
The release will mark Chiranjeevi’s second consecutive Sankranthi theatrical outing, following this year’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which emerged as a blockbuster.
What’s Next for Chiranjeevi?
Following ‘Kaaka’, Chiranjeevi is also associated with ‘Vishwambhara’, described as a fantasy adventure comedy.
A fresh release date for the project is expected to be finalised soon.
With the September schedule set to bring together the principal cast and key production work moving forward, ‘Kaaka’ is steadily shaping up as one of Chiranjeevi’s major upcoming theatrical releases.
