Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant celebrated the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan with his sister, sharing a glimpse of the family celebration and a heartfelt message on the significance of the festival.
Taking to social media, Sawant said he cherished the occasion with his sister and highlighted the special bond of love, affection and togetherness shared between siblings.
“Celebrated the joyous occasion of #Rakshabandhan with my sister, cherishing the beautiful bond of love, affection and togetherness that makes this festival so special,” Sawant wrote.
He also extended his wishes to people on the occasion, concluding his message with, “Happy Rakshabandhan!”
Raksha Bandhan celebrates the bond between brothers and sisters and is marked by the tying of the traditional rakhi, symbolising affection, protection and familial ties.
The Chief Minister’s message focused on the emotional and personal significance of the festival, placing family bonding and togetherness at the heart of the celebration.
The post also offered a personal glimpse into Sawant’s Raksha Bandhan celebrations alongside his public role as the Chief Minister of Goa.
