Goa: Two people were injured after a car carrying actor Ashwin Mushran and his wife collided with a scooter in Quepem, Goa, on Saturday. Police have registered a case against the driver of the car in connection with the accident.
According to police, Mushran and his wife were travelling in the car when it collided with a scooter coming from the opposite direction. The scooter was being ridden by a father-son duo, both of whom sustained serious injuries in the collision.
The driver of the car has been identified as Vasant Puttappa Laman, 32, against whom police have registered a case.
Confrontation Video Goes Viral
Following the accident, a local resident identified as Amol Kanekar, along with others, reportedly confronted Mushran and his wife at the spot.
A video showing an argument between the local resident, the actor and his wife has subsequently surfaced on social media and gone viral.
The circumstances surrounding the collision and the allegations, if any, arising from the incident are being investigated by the police.
Mushran was reportedly travelling with his wife at the time of the accident. The actor was not immediately available for comment.

Ashwin Mushran is known for his appearances in several Hindi films, including Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Fashion. He has also appeared in numerous television and film projects during his acting career.
The accident has once again highlighted concerns surrounding road safety, particularly on Goa’s busy roads where two-wheelers and four-wheelers frequently share narrow and congested stretches.
Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
