Sanquelim, Goa: Reinforcing its commitment to women’s empowerment through skill development, JCI Sanquelim successfully conducted the 12th Kaabil Project, a six-day Aari Designing Workshop, benefiting 110 women with valuable embroidery and design skills that can pave the way towards entrepreneurship and financial independence.
The workshop focused on teaching participants the intricate art of Aari embroidery, enabling them to develop practical skills that can be transformed into home-based businesses or additional sources of income.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from women across the region, reflecting the growing interest in vocational training programmes that encourage self-reliance and economic empowerment.
JCI Sanquelim congratulated all the participants for their dedication, enthusiasm, and successful completion of the workshop.
Special appreciation was extended to JC Smita Gawalkar, who served as the Trainer and Project Director. Her commitment, expertise, and passion played a key role in making the workshop a meaningful learning experience for every participant.
The organisation highlighted that projects like Kaabil continue to create opportunities for women by equipping them with employable skills, boosting confidence, and encouraging entrepreneurship.
Speaking on the successful completion of the workshop, JFM Asmita Gauns, President of JCI Sanquelim, said the organisation remains committed to conducting impactful community development initiatives that empower individuals and strengthen society through education and skill development.
The project was supported by the leadership team of JFM Asmita Gauns, President, JC Adv. Vidhiti Pednekar, Secretary, and JC Smita Gawalkar, Project Director.
Through initiatives like the Kaabil Project, JCI Sanquelim continues to inspire women to become financially independent while contributing towards building stronger families and communities.
