New Delhi: Sony India has expanded its premium television portfolio with the launch of the BRAVIA 9II and BRAVIA 7II, introducing its latest True RGB display technology to Indian consumers. The new televisions are designed to deliver a cinema-like viewing experience at home through advanced picture quality, immersive sound and AI-powered smart features.
The flagship BRAVIA 9II represents Sony’s most advanced television for 2026, building upon the success of the recently launched BRAVIA 7II. Both models are powered by Sony’s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro™, which independently controls red, green and blue LEDs for greater colour precision, higher brightness and deeper contrast.
Unlike conventional LED televisions, Sony’s True RGB technology delivers the largest colour volume in the company’s home television history, producing richer colours, smoother gradients and more lifelike images while maintaining excellent viewing quality even in brightly lit rooms.
The televisions are powered by Sony’s Advanced AI Cognitive Processor XR™, which intelligently analyses every scene in real time to optimise colour, brightness and contrast while preserving the creator’s original artistic vision.
The BRAVIA 9II also features Immersive Black Screen Pro, an advanced anti-reflection display treatment designed to produce deeper blacks while reducing glare and improving visibility during dark scenes.
For audio, both televisions feature Acoustic Multi-Audio+™, Sound Positioning Tweeters, Up-Firing Beam Tweeters, and Voice Zoom 3™, delivering precise sound placement and clearer dialogue for a truly cinematic experience.
The televisions support leading entertainment technologies including Dolby Vision®, Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X® and IMAX® Enhanced, while XR Contrast Booster enhances brightness and black levels for greater realism.
Powered by Google TV, the BRAVIA 9II and BRAVIA 7II provide personalised entertainment, bringing together movies, television shows, games and streaming applications on a single platform. Sony has also confirmed that Gemini for Google TV will be introduced through a future software update, enabling AI-powered voice interactions.
Movie enthusiasts can also enjoy Sony Pictures Core, which includes access to blockbuster films with near 4K UHD Blu-ray quality via Pure Stream™, along with 10 complimentary movie credits valid for 24 months.
From a design perspective, Sony has introduced an Immersive Frame with the elegant Mirage Stand, concealed cable management and an Inclusive Premium Remote featuring USB Type-C charging, backlit buttons and Find My Remote functionality.
The BRAVIA 9II is available in 75-inch and 85-inch variants, while the BRAVIA 7II is offered in 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch screen sizes.
Sony’s flagship BRAVIA 9II starts at a Best Buy price of ₹5,39,990, while the BRAVIA 7II begins at ₹2,21,990. The televisions are available through Sony Centres, Sony Exclusive Stores, ShopatSC.com, leading electronics retailers and major e-commerce platforms across India.
