Mumbai: Singer Jaan Kumar Sanu, son of veteran playback singer Kumar Sanu, has been hospitalised after testing positive for COVID-19. The former Bigg Boss 14 contestant shared the update with fans through a social media post from Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.

In a video shared on Instagram, Jaan adopted a light-hearted approach while updating his followers about his health. Giving fans a playful “fit check,” he appeared in hospital attire and added the text: “Fit check – Wearing my favourite designer: Kokilaben. Checked in for: COVID from Wuhan.”

He captioned the post, “China se aaya mera dost. Covid ko salaam karo,” using humour to lighten the mood despite being admitted to the hospital.

While confirming his COVID-19 diagnosis, Jaan did not disclose when he first experienced symptoms or how long he is expected to remain under medical care.

Jaan Kumar Sanu rose to prominence after participating in Bigg Boss 14, where he gained widespread recognition among television audiences. Besides reality television, he has also pursued a career in music, following in the footsteps of his father, legendary playback singer Kumar Sanu, whose iconic songs defined Bollywood music in the 1990s.

Fans and well-wishers have since taken to social media to send messages wishing him a speedy recovery.
