Porvorim: The Inner Wheel Club of Porvorim celebrated the beginning of a new Inner Wheel year with its Installation Ceremony held on July 10, 2026, at The Grand Kadamba, ushering in a new leadership team committed to service, friendship, and social responsibility.
During the ceremony, Mrs. Sridevi Badami was officially installed as the President, while Mrs. Indrayani Patil Chopra assumed office as the Secretary for the new Inner Wheel year.
The event was attended by the club’s Founder President, Mrs. Ria Patil Chandray, while District Chairman Mrs. Vasundhara Kole graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Club members, guests, and distinguished invitees joined the celebration, marking the beginning of another year dedicated to meaningful community initiatives.
To commemorate the installation, the club organised two service projects reflecting its commitment to social welfare and environmental sustainability.
On the occasion of Doctors’ Day, Dr. Hede was felicitated in recognition of his dedicated service and valuable contribution to healthcare.
In keeping with its Green Environment Project, the club also distributed eco-friendly cloth bags to all guests, promoting sustainable living and encouraging the reduction of single-use plastic.
The ceremony reflected the core values of Inner Wheel International—friendship, personal service, and fostering international understanding. The newly installed leadership reaffirmed its commitment to undertaking impactful community service projects while strengthening fellowship among members throughout the year.
