Goa’s young badminton sensation Amaira Dhumatker continues to rewrite the record books. At just 9 years old, the talented shuttler has once again demonstrated her extraordinary potential by winning the U-13 Girls Singles and U-13 Girls Doubles titles at the All Goa Major Ranking Badminton Tournament held at Peddem Indoor Stadium, Mapusa, from June 19 to 21, 2026.
Organised by Mapusa Shuttlers in association with the Goa Badminton Association (GBA), Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs (DSYA), the tournament witnessed some of the state’s finest young badminton talent in action.
A Journey of Consistent Excellence
Amaira’s latest achievement adds to an already impressive list of accomplishments.
Since 2023, when she was only 7 years old, Amaira has consistently dominated the Under-9 and Under-11 categories in All Goa State Ranking Tournaments, establishing herself as one of Goa’s brightest sporting prospects.
Her ability to compete successfully against older players has made her a standout performer in the state’s badminton circuit.
Historic National Achievement
One of the defining moments of Amaira’s career came in December 2025, when she won a historic Bronze Medal for Goa at the Under-11 National Badminton Championship in Gujarat.
The achievement brought national recognition and highlighted her immense talent at a very young age.
Representing Goa on the national stage, Amaira showcased determination, skill and composure beyond her years.

Her latest triumph in the Under-13 category further reinforces the belief that age is no limitation when talent meets hard work and dedication.
Competing against older and more experienced opponents, Amaira displayed exceptional court coverage, tactical awareness and confidence to emerge victorious in both Singles and Doubles events.
