Actor and influencer Uorfi Javed has once again sparked an important conversation about online safety after sharing screenshots of rape threats, death threats and abusive messages she receives on social media.
The reality television star took to Instagram shortly after her victory in The Traitors Season 1 to reveal the extent of the online harassment she has faced over the years. Sharing screenshots of disturbing messages and comments, Uorfi said the examples she posted represented only a tiny fraction of the abuse she regularly receives.
In a powerful Instagram Reel, Uorfi wrote that she has endured some of the harshest trolling imaginable, including rape threats, death threats and relentless verbal abuse. She also revealed that strangers had managed to obtain her phone number and contacted her directly with threatening messages.
According to Uorfi, the screenshots she shared were among the “most decent” compared to the abuse she often encounters online.
The actor stressed that the issue extends beyond her personal experience and reflects a broader reality faced by women across social media platforms.
She stated that abusive comments, threats of violence and harassment have unfortunately become common experiences for many women online.
Her post quickly attracted widespread support from followers, celebrities and social media users who praised her courage in speaking out.
Many fans encouraged her to remain strong and continue using her platform to highlight important issues affecting women. Others appreciated her decision to expose the accounts responsible for sending abusive messages, calling it a step towards accountability.
One supporter commented that Uorfi’s success despite years of trolling was inspiring, while another praised her for standing firm in the face of constant negativity.
This is not the first time Uorfi has addressed issues related to women’s safety and online behaviour. Over the years, she has frequently spoken about cyberbullying, misogyny and the challenges women face on digital platforms.
Her latest revelation has once again reignited discussions about online accountability, cyber safety and the urgent need to create safer spaces for women on social media.
As conversations continue across platforms, Uorfi’s message serves as a reminder that behind every public profile is a real person dealing with the emotional impact of online abuse.
