Rakesh Roshan Shuts Down Reports of Hrithik’s ₹500 Crore Demand for Krrish 4: “It’s All Nonsense”

Mumbai: Fans eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the Krrish franchise can breathe a sigh of relief. Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has quashed swirling rumours about budget disputes and creative differences surrounding Krrish 4.

In a recent interaction with Mid-Day, Rakesh Roshan called reports claiming that his son Hrithik Roshan demanded a ₹500 crore budget for top-tier VFX and world-class action sequences “all nonsense.” He also clarified there are no issues with producer Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films.

“Making a good film catering to a wide audience takes time. Even I have taken time for each of my Krrish offerings,” Rakesh Roshan emphasised. He added that the delay is primarily due to Hrithik’s busy schedule with other commitments, including his HRX Films projects, and that the script is nearly ready. Shooting is expected to commence later this year. The rumours had suggested a clash between Hrithik’s vision for a grand, high-budget spectacle and YRF’s preference to cap costs around ₹350 crore.

Rakesh Roshan’s statement puts these speculations to rest, reaffirming strong collaboration between the Roshan family and the Yash Raj team.

The Krrish franchise has been a landmark in Indian superhero cinema, with Krrish 3 (2013) being the last instalment. Krrish 4 will reportedly mark Hrithik’s directorial debut in the series.Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated film.
