A light-hearted moment from filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan’s latest vlog has grabbed attention online, thanks to a witty remark involving producer Vashu Bhagnani.
The episode featured actor Varun Dhawan and filmmaker David Dhawan visiting Farah’s home. While David arrived earlier, Varun reached later and attempted to make up for his delay by bringing gifts for Farah’s house help and internet personality Dilip.
As Varun entered, he jokingly remarked that Farah’s home was “better than Trump’s house.” Farah quickly responded by asking why he had arrived late and whether he had brought anything for her.
When Varun pointed out that she had not asked the reason for his delay, Farah seized the opportunity and jokingly asked, “Did you go to meet Vashu ji?”
Playing along with the joke, Varun replied, “That’s what I went to handle.”
Why the Joke Grabbed Attention
Although the exchange was clearly humorous, it quickly caught the attention of fans because of the ongoing legal dispute involving Vashu Bhagnani and David Dhawan.
The disagreement centres around the upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, starring Varun Dhawan.
Vashu Bhagnani has reportedly initiated legal proceedings against Tips Industries and associated parties, alleging unauthorized use of intellectual property connected to some of his earlier films, including the popular comedy Biwi No. 1.
At the heart of the dispute is the recreated version of the iconic song Chunari Chunari. According to Bhagnani, while Tips Industries owns the audio rights to the song, any recreation involving film-related intellectual property required his approval or participation.
Vashu Bhagnani’s Earlier Comments on Varun Dhawan
The controversy became even more discussed after Bhagnani made candid remarks about his relationship with Varun Dhawan during a virtual press conference.
Referring to their collaboration on Coolie No. 1 (2020), the producer claimed he suffered substantial financial losses and expressed disappointment over the lack of communication afterward.
Despite the criticism, Bhagnani maintained a fatherly tone, describing Varun as being like a son and suggesting that misunderstandings can happen in any relationship.
Industry Watching Closely
The legal dispute continues to generate discussions within Bollywood, particularly because it involves major names connected to the Dhawan family, Vashu Bhagnani’s production house, and rights related to classic Bollywood properties.
Meanwhile, Farah Khan’s playful remark has only added another talking point to an already widely discussed industry issue.
