Singer Adnan Sami has opened up about the criticism he faced online after sharing photographs with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, stating that he refuses to let trolls or public opinion influence his personal choices.
The controversy began after Adnan posted pictures from his interaction with Bhagwat on Instagram earlier this year. Alongside the photos, the singer praised the RSS chief, calling him an “incredible gentleman” and a “beautiful soul.”
The post quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with several users criticising the singer and questioning his views. However, Adnan has now reacted strongly to the trolling, saying he does not care about what strangers think about him.
Speaking about the backlash, Adnan said that social media often creates an environment where people judge others without truly knowing them.
“I am a free soul and, thankfully, I have lost all my filters also, so I do what I feel like, and I am not answerable to anybody but God,” the singer said.
He further explained that he believes in treating people based on personal experiences rather than opinions formed by others.
“If somebody is nice to me, I will be nice to them no matter who they are. I will never judge anyone on the basis of someone else’s opinion,” he added.
Adnan also criticised the culture of instant judgment online, saying many people form assumptions based on fragments of information such as a photograph, interview or song without understanding the complete reality.
According to him, many trolls do not genuinely know him and simply participate in online criticism for attention. The singer added that he now feels mentally liberated and no longer worries about public validation.
The singer’s meeting with Mohan Bhagwat had gone viral after he wrote on Instagram that several “myths and misconceptions” were discussed and clarified during their interaction.
Known for hit songs such as Lift Kara De, Tera Chehra and Kabhi To Nazar Milao, Adnan Sami recently released his latest single, Lipstick.
