Mouni Roy made her first public appearance late Wednesday night amid ongoing speculation surrounding her marriage to businessman Suraj Nambiar. The actor was spotted stepping out for dinner in Mumbai as conversations about the couple continued to trend across social media platforms.
Mouni was seen leaving a popular eatery in Bandra alongside a female friend. Dressed in a black lace and satin outfit paired with pointed heels, the actor completed her look with a statement handbag, gold bracelets and a diamond ring on her left hand. Paparazzi videos from the outing quickly surfaced online, showing Mouni ensuring her friend safely entered the vehicle before she left the venue herself.
The appearance came just hours after the actor addressed the rumours through an Instagram Story, where she requested media outlets and social media users to stop spreading what she described as “false narratives” and respect her privacy.
The speculation surrounding Mouni and Suraj intensified earlier this week after several social media users claimed the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Rumours further escalated when users observed that Suraj’s Instagram account appeared inaccessible and that photographs featuring him, including their wedding pictures, were no longer visible on Mouni’s profile.
While Mouni issued a brief public response asking for space and privacy, Suraj Nambiar has not commented publicly on the matter so far.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar tied the knot on January 27, 2022, in Goa in a lavish wedding celebration that included both traditional Malayali and Bengali ceremonies, followed by a poolside celebration attended by close friends and family.
Suraj Nambiar, originally from Bengaluru, is known as a businessman and investment banker who reportedly lived in Dubai prior to his marriage to Mouni. Over the years, the couple frequently shared glimpses of their relationship on social media through travel photographs, festive celebrations and personal moments.
Mouni Roy rose to fame through television serials such as Naagin, Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev and Kasturi, before successfully transitioning into films. She later appeared in projects including Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, Gold and Made in China.
Despite the online buzz surrounding her personal life, Mouni’s latest appearance suggested she remains focused on maintaining normalcy amid growing public attention.
