Actor Trisha Krishnan is reportedly in discussions to join director Nelson Dilipkumar’s ambitious upcoming film featuring Tamil cinema legends Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.
Though the makers have not officially confirmed the development, reports suggest that talks have progressed positively over the past few days and that Trisha is likely to play a significant role, possibly the female lead, in the much-awaited project.
The film has already generated massive buzz ever since its announcement teaser was unveiled. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan appeared in striking retro-inspired looks, while the teaser’s dialogue — “Who is the hero?” — quickly became a trending topic across social media platforms.
The untitled project, tentatively referred to as KHxRK, marks a historic collaboration, bringing Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan together on screen again after several decades. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film will also feature music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
If Trisha officially joins the cast, it would add another landmark project to her celebrated career spanning over two decades in Tamil cinema. She has previously worked with Kamal Haasan in films such as Manmadhan Ambu, Thoongaavanam and Thug Life. She also shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Petta.
Reports further claim that Trisha’s remuneration for the project is expected to be among the highest of her career, underlining the scale and importance of the film.
Meanwhile, Trisha is also gearing up for the release of Karuppu opposite Suriya, whose trailer was recently released.
Industry analysts are already describing Nelson’s upcoming directorial as one of the biggest Tamil cinema projects ever mounted. With a star-studded combination of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Nelson Dilipkumar, Anirudh Ravichander and potentially Trisha Krishnan, expectations are soaring among fans and trade circles alike.
Reports have even suggested that the film could become the first Tamil movie to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark globally if executed on the scale currently anticipated.
While the cast and crew details are still being finalised, excitement continues to build around what is already being viewed as one of the most ambitious collaborations in Indian cinema history.
