The internationally acclaimed Candlelight Concert Series is set to make its way to Goa this May, bringing its signature candlelit musical experience to audiences at Kala Academy. Organised by Live Your City, the event promises an immersive evening of live instrumental music in a uniquely intimate atmosphere.
Known worldwide for transforming iconic venues into glowing musical spaces lit by hundreds of candles, the Candlelight® series combines familiar soundtracks and timeless classics with a visually striking ambience. The Goa edition aims to make the experience more accessible, with ticket prices beginning at INR 499.
The upcoming programming features two specially curated performances — Candlelight: Queen vs. ABBA and Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer. Audiences can expect live instrumental renditions of globally loved tracks, reimagined in a piano format within the candlelit setting.
The Queen vs. ABBA edition will celebrate legendary hits from two of the world’s most iconic music groups, blending the energetic anthems of Queen and ABBA into an intimate musical experience. Meanwhile, The Best of Hans Zimmer will feature instrumental interpretations of cinematic scores composed by Hans Zimmer, whose work has shaped some of Hollywood’s most memorable films.
Hosted at Kala Academy, a venue deeply associated with Goa’s artistic and cultural identity, the performances are expected to attract music lovers across generations. The format combines live music with a carefully designed atmosphere, offering audiences a relaxed and immersive cultural outing.
The organisers say the Goa edition is designed to encourage wider participation in live cultural experiences while introducing the globally successful Candlelight® concept to local audiences.
