Gunshots Fired Near Kapil Sharma’s Canada Café; Death Threat Claims Spark Concern

Gunshots were reported late Saturday night near a café adjacent to a restaurant owned by comedian and television host Kapil Sharma in Surrey, Canada, raising concerns about safety and security. The incident, which occurred near a Chai Sutta Bar outlet located next to Kap’s Café, quickly gained traction on social media, with videos purportedly showing multiple rounds being fired outside the premises while staff and customers were inside.

According to reports, no injuries were recorded in the incident. Authorities from Surrey Police responded to the scene, though an official statement detailing the exact circumstances or confirming any arrests is still awaited. The situation has nonetheless sparked widespread concern, particularly among Indian-origin business owners in the area.

The episode has been further amplified by claims circulating on social media suggesting a possible link to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A viral post allegedly from an account associated with the gang claimed that both Kapil Sharma and the café owner had received threats. The message reportedly warned Sharma to “fall in line” and hinted at further consequences if demands were not met. However, these claims remain unverified and their authenticity has not been established.

The Indian Express reported that the firing took place on 120 Street in Surrey, directly outside the Chai Sutta Bar outlet next to Kap’s Café. While the incident itself has been acknowledged, the connection to any organised group or motive behind the shooting is yet to be officially confirmed.

Kapil Sharma has not issued any public statement regarding the incident so far. Despite previous reports of threats and attacks linked to establishments in the area, Sharma and his team have earlier maintained that they would continue operations and would not be intimidated by such incidents.

As investigations continue, the episode has once again brought attention to the safety of public figures and businesses abroad, especially in regions witnessing rising concerns around targeted intimidation and violence.
