Film personalities across industries have extended their support to Vijay after early counting trends in Tamil Nadu showed his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), emerging as a strong contender in its debut election.
According to early trends, TVK was leading in around 110 seats and recording the highest vote share, pushing the party close to the majority mark of 117. Crossing the 100-seat milestone in its very first electoral outing, the partyโs performance has already drawn significant attention across political and entertainment circles.
As the leads began to firm up, congratulatory messages poured in from members of the film fraternity. Actor Nani took to social media to praise Vijayโs journey, calling it an โunderdog winningโ moment and expressing hope that the mandate would translate into meaningful progress for the people of Tamil Nadu.
Nikhil Siddhartha described Vijayโs rise as a โhistoric achievementโ for someone from the Indian film industry making a mark in politics. Actor Aju Varghese echoed similar sentiments, highlighting that โluck favours the brave.โ
Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu celebrated the moment with a social media post calling Vijay โthe greatest of all time,โ while Sibi Sathyaraj shared enthusiastic messages expressing confidence and excitement over the early trends.
Meanwhile, the broader electoral picture showed TVK ahead of its rivals, with the DMK-led alliance leading in just over 50 seats and the AIADMK bloc in more than 70. Vijay himself was leading in key constituencies, including Perumbur and Trichy East.
With counting still underway, Vijayโs debut political performance has already emerged as one of the most significant developments in Tamil Nadu politics, with reactions continuing to pour in from across the film industry and beyond.
