Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the film opened to strong buzz, backed by impressive advance bookings. However, it is Salman Khan’s brief yet impactful appearance as Jiva Mahala that has sent audiences into a frenzy.
Images and clips circulating on social media show Salman Khan in a striking traditional avatar — dressed in a saffron kurta and turban, sporting a moustache and tilak. His commanding presence peaks in a high-intensity scene where he holds a sword to a rival’s neck and delivers the powerful line:
“Shivaji nahi; Shivaji Raj mhanaycha.”
The moment has triggered loud cheers in theatres, with fans calling it a “whistle-worthy” highlight of the film.

Speaking earlier about the collaboration, Riteish Deshmukh revealed that Salman Khan himself expressed interest in being part of the film. According to Deshmukh, Khan insisted on joining the project, leading to the inclusion of the role of Jiva Mahala — one of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s most trusted warriors.
