Megastar Chiranjeevi has officially kicked off his next big collaboration with director Bobby Kolli, marking the beginning of a highly anticipated project tentatively titled ChiruBobby2.
The film has already entered its active production phase with a look test conducted this week. The makers also released the first image from the session, offering fans a glimpse of Chiranjeevi’s transformed appearance. Early indications suggest that the superstar will be seen in a rugged, intense avatar, possibly for a gangster-based action narrative.
The project follows an earlier concept poster that hinted at a darker, more aggressive tone compared to conventional commercial entertainers. With strong visual styling and hints of high-octane action, expectations are already building around the film’s scale and treatment.
Reports suggest that the production design and character aesthetics have been finalized, and the team is now preparing for a formal launch event. Filming is expected to begin immediately after the traditional muhurat ceremony, followed by an intensive shooting schedule.
The production had briefly faced uncertainty due to delays linked with the banner’s other project Jana Nayagan. However, those concerns have now been put to rest, and the team has moved ahead without disruption.
This reunion between Chiranjeevi and Bobby Kolli is especially significant after the massive success of their previous collaboration Waltair Veerayya, which emerged as a box office hit. Naturally, expectations are high for this new venture.
On the work front, Chiranjeevi is currently also involved in the socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, adding to his busy slate of high-profile projects.
