Actor Akshay Kumar turned emotional during the grand finale shoot of Wheel of Fortune India after the makers surprised him with a heartfelt tribute video celebrating his journey as the show’s host.
A newly released promo from the finale episode, which aired on April 27, captured the emotional moment that left the actor visibly teary-eyed on stage.
The finale featured filmmaker Farah Khan along with actors Bhumi Pednekar and Jacqueline Fernandez, who joined Akshay for the special episode. The promo initially showcased their light-hearted banter and fun moments before shifting to a more emotional tone.
The tribute montage highlighted memorable moments from the season, including humorous exchanges, emotional contestant stories, and Akshay’s heartfelt interactions throughout the show. A special message thanked him for bringing warmth, humour, and charm to the series.
As the video played, Akshay was seen wiping away tears while reflecting on the show’s successful journey. He shared that the season completed 65 episodes and featured nearly 200 contestants, calling the experience deeply special.
Adding a personal touch to the moment, Akshay revealed that his maternal uncle attended the finale shoot and had not missed a single episode of the show. He also thanked audiences across India for their overwhelming love and support.
Before the emotional tribute, the finale also featured several entertaining moments. Farah Khan playfully teased Akshay with a chest full of fake cash, while Jacqueline shared a fun flirtatious segment. Bhumi also reflected on working with Farah alongside Ananya Panday.
Farah and Akshay also joked about their long list of past collaborations, including their hit film Tees Maar Khan.
Wheel of Fortune India marked Akshay Kumar’s return to television as a host and became one of the most talked-about entertainment shows of the year.
