Bollywood star Alia Bhatt recently opened up about daughter Raha Kapoor’s future and revealed that she would love to see her become an athlete rather than join the film industry.
In a recent interview with Femina, Alia shared that three-year-old Raha is already showing signs of being highly energetic, athletic, and competitive.
“I wish for her to actually be an athlete. She’s so competitive and she’s so athletic. She’s only three, but she really jumps around like a bee in a bonnet,” Alia said.
The actor’s candid revelation has sparked conversations among fans, especially considering Raha comes from one of Bollywood’s most celebrated film families. Raha is the daughter of Alia Bhatt and actor Ranbir Kapoor, who tied the knot on April 14, 2022, in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai home. The couple welcomed Raha later that year on November 6.
Apart from talking about motherhood, Alia also reflected on the women who shaped her life and career. She credited her mother, veteran actor Soni Razdan, as one of her strongest influences while growing up.
Alia spoke about watching her mother balance family responsibilities while continuing her passion for acting through theatre and television.
“My mother was the strongest and most impactful influence growing up. Watching her raise me and my sister while keeping her passion for acting alive taught me a lot,” she shared.
On the professional front, Alia has a busy year ahead. She will next be seen in Alpha, part of Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, alongside Sharvari and Bobby Deol.
She will also reunite with husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal for Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which is expected to release next year.
