PACT Foundation, in collaboration with Kick Off Football Schools, has announced a free 9-day Intensive Summer Football Camp exclusively for children from the Aldona constituency, reinforcing efforts to promote grassroots sports and youth development in Goa.
Scheduled to be held from May 1 to May 10, 2026, at the Moira Club Ground, the camp will feature daily training sessions from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Open to boys and girls aged between 6 and 14 years, the initiative offers a structured and professional environment for young participants to develop their football skills.
The camp is designed to strengthen grassroots football while encouraging physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork among children. Participants will undergo 60 to 90 minutes of daily training under the guidance of experienced and licensed coaches, focusing on both technical skills and overall personal development.
What makes the initiative particularly impactful is its accessibility—participation is completely free of cost. Registered participants will receive training kits, medals, certificates, and refreshments, ensuring a rewarding and inclusive experience.
Speaking about the initiative, Ashwin Fernandes highlighted the broader vision behind the programme, stating that sports serve as a powerful tool for community development and youth empowerment. By offering the camp specifically for children from the Aldona constituency, the foundation aims to create opportunities, inspire participation, and nurture emerging talent.
Coach Jonas Fernandes, who will lead the training sessions, emphasised that the camp is structured to provide a strong foundation in football while instilling values such as discipline, teamwork, and confidence among young players.
With limited seats available, registrations for the camp will close on April 27, 2026. Interested participants and parents are encouraged to register early to secure a place in what promises to be a valuable and enriching experience for young football enthusiasts.
