A long-standing family rift involving Govinda has taken an unexpected and emotional turn. After nearly 14 years of public tension, Sunita Ahuja has finally reunited with Krushna Abhishek and Kashmera Shah on the sets of the popular show Laughter Chefs 3.
The reunion, which took place during a shoot, quickly grabbed attention online after a video of the moment went viral. The clip showed hugs, laughter, and a visibly relaxed atmosphere—marking a stark contrast to the years of distance between the family members.
Sunita Ahuja, known for her candid and outspoken nature, walked onto the set and unexpectedly came face-to-face with Krushna and Kashmera. The trio, who had reportedly not been on speaking terms for over a decade, shared a warm and emotional interaction.
The rift is believed to have begun after Krushna allegedly made remarks about his uncle Govinda during a comedy act, which did not go down well with Sunita at the time. Since then, both sides had maintained a distance, with little to no public interaction.
During the reunion, Sunita lightened the moment with a symbolic remark, comparing the situation to the Ramayana.
“14 saal ke baad aaj vanvaas khatam hua hai,” she said, jokingly adding that only God knows who might be affected by this reunion. The comment drew laughter from Krushna and Kashmera, easing the moment further.
Sunita also expressed her happiness at reconnecting, referring to Krushna and Kashmera as her “son and daughter-in-law.” She shared that she now feels a renewed sense of family, even mentioning her grandsons, and emphasised that she wants to move forward without holding onto past grievances.
Interestingly, this reunion comes amid ongoing discussions about Sunita Ahuja’s relationship with Govinda. In previous interviews, she had made strong allegations regarding his personal life, which the actor denied.
Responding to the controversy, Govinda stated that silence is often misunderstood, hinting at deeper complexities in the situation without directly escalating the matter.
