Kalina Rangers Clinch Maiden Red Bull Four 2 Score National Title in Coimbatore


Kalina Rangers from Kochi etched their name in Indian grassroots football history by clinching their maiden Red Bull Four 2 Score National Championship title in Coimbatore. The high-energy tournament brought together some of the best amateur football talent from across the country, all competing for national glory and a chance to represent India on the global stage.

The final delivered a thrilling finish, with Kalina Rangers sealing victory through a sudden-death golden goal scored by Tyson Patel. Their performance throughout the tournament reflected resilience, teamwork, and exceptional skill, allowing them to overcome strong contenders and emerge as champions.

The event also witnessed the presence of Indian national team forward Vikram Pratap Singh, adding further excitement to the competition and inspiring young players participating in the tournament.

Kalina Rangers, originally from Mumbai but qualifying through Kochi, showcased remarkable determination on their journey to the title. The team, comprising Craig Dsouza, Scott Moraes, Tyson Patel, Clinton Dsouza, and Faheez Mohammed, proved their mettle by defeating crowd favourites MRFC A in a closely contested final through another sudden-death goal.

The championship match was an intense end-to-end battle, with both teams displaying attacking intent and tactical sharpness. However, Kalina Rangers’ composure under pressure ensured they secured the decisive moment when it mattered the most.

With this victory, the team now sets its sights on the Red Bull Four 2 Score World Finals in Canada, where they will represent India against top teams from around the globe. Expressing his excitement, Scott Moraes said the team is determined not just to participate but to win at the international stage.

Speaking at the event, Vikram Pratap Singh praised the format and its impact on grassroots football, noting that the fast-paced 4v4 format enhances quick decision-making and provides a strong platform for young talent to shine.

The Red Bull Four 2 Score tournament is known for its unique format, featuring 10-minute matches with no goalkeepers and special rules such as double goals in the first and last minutes. The competition continues to play a crucial role in identifying and promoting emerging football talent across India.
