Winners of the various Open Category segments at the recently concluded Baale BPS Open 2026 pose proudly with their trophies, accompanied by the tournament organisers and committee members.
Margao, March 2026 – Young tennis sensation Tvisha Sardesai capped off an extraordinary campaign at the Baale BPS Open 2026 by clinching the Ladies Singles title, completing a rare treble after having already secured the Under-14 and Under-18 crowns earlier in the tournament.
The state-ranking tournament concluded on a high note at the B.P.S. Sports Club, where Aryan Kotasthane delivered a commanding performance to clinch a double crown in the Men’s category.
In the Ladies Singles final, Tvisha Sardesai showcased composure and control, defeating Raisa in straight sets 6-1, 6-4. Having dominated in the junior divisions, her victory in the senior category underscored her consistency across age groups and emerged as one of the most remarkable achievements of this year’s tournament.
Aryan Kotasthane proved equally dominant in the Men’s events. In the Men’s Singles final, he secured a convincing 6-3, 6-0 win over A Harren Narayan. He then teamed up with Rushi Anikari in the Men’s Doubles final to register a 6-0, 7-5 victory against the pair of Shaurya Awasthi and Anamay Mittal, sealing an impressive double triumph.
The concluding day marked the successful completion of the third edition of the All Goa Ranking Tennis Tournament, which witnessed strong participation across various age groups and categories throughout its 11-day run.
The grand finale and prize distribution ceremony was held on Sunday evening at the B.P.S. Sports Club, Margao. Chief Guest Digambar Kamat, Minister for PWD, Captain of Ports and Legal Metrology, graced the occasion. Senior club members Artemio Moraes and Shashank Shirwaikar were felicitated for their valuable contributions and continued support to the club and the sport.
Supported by Baale Resort Goa and conducted under the aegis of the Goa State Tennis Association, the Baale BPS Open 2026 attracted 197 entries across junior, open and veterans’ categories, reaffirming its growing stature in Goa’s tennis calendar.
