The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, hosted a vibrant ‘Experience Goa’ Roadshow in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on September 15, 2025. The event marked a major step in Goa’s international tourism outreach, promoting the state as a diverse, sustainable, and year-round travel destination.
In celebration of World Tourism Day 2025, Goa Tourism, in partnership with TTAG, SKAL International Goa, and the Yuva Tourism Clubs, is rolling out a month-long series of heritage walks, culinary experiences, nature trails, and inclusive tourism events across the state — positioning Goa as a model of regenerative, youth-led and year-round tourism.
Goa was conferred with the Special Editorial Award for ‘Promoting Tourism through Festivals’ by The Week. The recognition applauds Goa’s efforts in promoting its vibrant cultural calendar. Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, and Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, emphasized the importance of integrating culture and tourism to shape Goa’s identity beyond its beaches.
Goa Tourism made a dynamic impression at OTDYKH Leisure 2025 in Moscow, spotlighting its theme “Sunshine and More in Goa” and reinforcing the state’s positioning as a sustainable, year-round international destination.

The event aims to present Goa as a vibrant, diverse, and sustainable destination that goes far beyond its iconic beaches. Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, said: “Goa is evolving as a destination that celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability." The roadshow in Tashkent will highlight Goa as a destination offering authentic, memorable, and sustainable experiences while strengthening international partnerships.
