Actor Jaaved Jaaferi has revealed that the iconic dance reality show Boogie Woogie was almost shelved after Sony’s creative team dismissed it as “down market.” The show eventually received approval thanks to then Sony executive Sudesh Iyer’s belief in the concept and the exceptional talent of young dancers from Mumbai’s suburbs.
