Goa Tourism Wins Excellence Award for ‘Goa Beyond Beaches’ Campaign at TTF Ahmedabad 2025


Panjim, 2nd August 2025 – The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, concluded its participation at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Ahmedabad 2025 on a high note, receiving the Excellence Award for the Special Campaign on ‘Goa Beyond Beaches’. The recognition was presented at the Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, where the event was held from 31st July to 2nd August 2025.

Led by Shri Pravinkumar Faldessai, Senior Manager, GTDC, along with Smt. Concy Pereira, Asst. Tourism Officer, and Smt. Isabelinda Vaz, Information Assistant, the Goa delegation engaged extensively with travel agents, tour operators, and media partners throughout the three-day event.

Commenting on the achievement, Shri Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, Government of Goa, said “We are honoured to receive this recognition at TTF Ahmedabad 2025. Panaji, 11 February 2025 – The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, is set to host an exclusive tourism roadshow in Tokyo, Japan, on February 17, 2025 to promote the vibrant culture, unique experiences, and responsible travel opportunities in Goa. The event aims to strengthen Goa’s presence in the Japanese market and attract discerning travellers seeking authentic and enriching experiences.

The roadshow will bring together key stakeholders from Goa’s tourism sector, including hoteliers, travel operators, and destination management companies, to interact with the Japanese travel trade and media. It will highlight Goa’s rich cultural heritage, pristine beaches, culinary delights, eco-tourism initiatives, and its growing prominence in regenerative tourism.

The roadshow will focus on promoting key aspects of Goa’s tourism, including Regenerative Tourism, which emphasizes sustainable practices and community-based experiences that preserve the state’s natural and cultural heritage. It will also showcase Goa’s unique blend festivals, traditional crafts, and historical sites. Goa’s participation at OTM 2025 emphasized its status as a premier global travel destination. The state’s presentation revolved around Regenerative Tourism, which promotes responsible travel that benefits both local communities and the environment. With a commitment to eco-friendly initiatives, community-based tourism, and cultural preservation, Goa is leading the way in offering authentic experiences that will help safeguard its future.

One of the key highlights of Goa Tourism’s presence was the promotion of the Ekadasha Teertha circuit—an array of 11 historic temples that provide spiritual and cultural experiences for travellers. In addition, Goa showcased its beauty beyond the beaches, the vibrant festivals, rich local cuisine, and sustainable beach tourism, all integral elements of the Goan experience.
