Goa Tourism is set to represent the state at ITB Berlin 2026, one of the most prestigious global platforms for the travel and tourism industry. Scheduled from March 3 to March 5 at the Berlin ExpoCenter City in Germany, the event will bring together tourism boards, airlines, hospitality brands, travel companies, and technology providers from across the world.

Goa’s participation reflects a strategic effort to strengthen its global presence and build long-term partnerships within key international markets. At Stall No. 225, the Goa delegation will engage in structured business meetings with international tour operators, travel buyers, airline representatives, and media stakeholders, focusing on collaboration and expanding outreach.

Over the three-day event, Goa aims to not only promote its offerings but also gain insights into emerging global travel trends. This engagement will help align the state’s tourism strategy with evolving traveller preferences, ensuring that Goa remains competitive and relevant in the international market.

The showcase will highlight a wide spectrum of experiences that define Goa beyond its beaches. These include heritage and cultural tourism, spiritual circuits, wellness and yoga retreats, hinterland exploration, adventure tourism, river cruises, culinary journeys, and immersive monsoon programmes. The focus is on curated and meaningful travel experiences that encourage longer stays and deeper engagement with the destination.

Goa will also present its vision for responsible and sustainable tourism through a regenerative approach. This framework emphasises community participation, preservation of cultural heritage, and environmental sustainability, ensuring that tourism growth benefits both visitors and local communities.

Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte stated that participation in ITB Berlin 2026 reflects Goa’s continued commitment to engaging with the global tourism ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of strengthening visibility in international markets while promoting the diversity and depth of Goa’s offerings.

Director of Tourism Kedar Naik added that the focus remains on attracting quality tourism and building meaningful, long-term collaborations with global stakeholders. The participation is part of a broader strategy to position Goa as a destination that offers authenticity, diversity, and responsible travel experiences.

As global travel continues to evolve, Goa’s presence at ITB Berlin reinforces its ambition to remain at the forefront of international tourism while staying rooted in its cultural identity and sustainable development goals.
