The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2025 shines a spotlight on emerging global filmmakers with seven debut features — five international and two Indian — competing for the coveted Best Debut Feature Film of a Director Award. The winner will receive the Silver Peacock, ₹10 lakh cash prize, and commendation, chosen by a distinguished jury led by acclaimed Indian filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set to begin with a grand open-air inaugural ceremony in Panaji for the first time.
