The event, taking place at Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar, runs from July 31 to August 2 and serves as a vital outreach opportunity to engage with key domestic tourism markets.

The Goa Tourism Pavilion stands out for its theme: Goa โ€“ A Responsible and Immersive Travel Destination. The delegation, led by Shri Pravinkumar Faldessai (Senior Manager, GTDC), Smt. Explore Goaโ€™s Wild Side: Join the Monsoon Trek to Charavane on July 13


Panaji, 10th July 2025 – The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) is organising its next Monsoon Trekking Expedition to Charavane in Sattari Taluka on Sunday, July 13, 2025. With the monsoons rejuvenating Goaโ€™s hinterlands, the trail to Charavane offers trekkers an immersive experience through one of the stateโ€™s most scenic and biodiverse regions.

Spread across a total distance of 8 kilometres, the Charavane trek offers a blend of natural beauty and adventure. The route winds through lush green forests, flowing streams, and varied terrain that includes steep climbs and slippery rock patches. Trekkers can expect to witness nature in its full glory โ€“ from fluttering butterflies and birdsong to breathtaking landscapes untouched by urban noise. This moderately challenging trail is perfect for nature lovers, photography enthusiasts, and those with an adventurous spirit. The trek program is done in collaboration with the Forest Department, Government of Goa & Goa Forest Development Corporation.

The GTDC has made transport arrangements from various parts of Goa to ensure accessibility. Buses will depart from Margao Residency and Mapusa Residency at 7:30 AM, and from Paryatan Bhavan, Patto at 8:30 AM. En route pick-up points include Birla Junction in Verna, Cortalim, Porvorim, Banasthari, and Honda. The registration fee for the expedition is โ‚น1400 per person, inclusive of taxes. The cost covers transport, breakfast, lunch, and the services of trained professional nature guides who will accompany the group throughout the trek.

Interested participants are advised to carry rainwear, a change of clothes, trekking shoes, snacks, and binoculars to make the most of this experience. Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly prohibited during the trek. The activity is not recommended for those who are physically unfit, as certain stretches involve steep and slippery terrain.

Goa Tourism Celebrates 11th International Yoga Day at Socorro with Resounding Participation


Socorro, 21st June 2025 – The Department of Tourism and Goa Tourism Development Corporation organized the 11th International Yoga Day in a grand and spirited manner at the Socorro Panchayat Hall, where over 150 participants gathered in a collective embrace of wellness, mindfulness, and community harmony. The celebrations reflected the Stateโ€™s growing emphasis on integrating yoga and holistic health into its tourism narrative.

The celebrations were graced by the presence of Honโ€™ble Tourism Minister Shri Rohan Khaunte, who emphasized the importance of yoga in promoting holistic health and positioning Goa as a wellness destination. Director of Tourism Shri Kedar Naik, Managing Director of GTDC Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, Socorro Sarpanch Smt. Soniya Pednekar, Penha de Franca Sarpanch Shri Swapnil Chodankar, and Zilla Panchayat Member Smt. Kavita Gupesh Naik was also in attendance, along with members of the Socorro Panchayat and officials from the Department of Tourism and GTDC. The inaugural function was compared by Mr. Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing), GTDC.

Speaking at the occasion, Honโ€™ble Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. The event featured a guided yoga session conducted by Mr. Tulsidas Mangueshkar, a Yoga Instructor and Evaluator certified by the Ministry of AYUSH, and Mrs. Pooja Tulsidas Mangueshkar, a certified yoga teacher, drawing participation from diverse age groups and communities. As part of the program, attendees were encouraged to adopt yoga as a daily practice to enhance physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

GTDC organises a one-day hospitality orientation and operations workshop at St. Regis Goa Resort


Panaji, April 23, 2025 โ€“ The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), in collaboration with The St. Regis Goa Resort, Mobor, Cavelossim, Salcete, successfully conducted a one-day workshop on hospitality orientation and operations. Designed to offer an immersive experience in a hospitality setting, the workshop provided GTDC officials with valuable insights in hotel operations & customer services .

The workshop was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Satish Kumar, General Manager of the St. Regis Goa Resort, along with GTDCโ€™s General Managers GTDC General Managers including Shri Gavin Dias (Hotels, Marketing); Shri Laxmikant Vaigankar (Administration); Shri Kapil Paiguinkar (Finance); and Shri Sachin Gore (Engineering), Shri Deepak Narvekar, Dy General Manager ( Hotels/ Mktg), Shri Sandeep Gawas, Dy. General Manager (Admin) and other officials of GTDC and St Regis. The initiative focused on enhancing the soft skills, communication abilities, and operational knowledge of the Senior GTDC personnel.

Resource persons from The St. Regis led interactive sessions covering guest service excellence, internal hotel operations, and soft skills training. A dedicated interaction session facilitated the exchange of ideas between the resortโ€™s resource team and GTDC officials. As part of the programme, participants were taken on a guided tour of the resort, exploring key areas such as the lagoons, cocktail mixing station, hotel lobby, beach access from the hotel, and the โ€˜heart of the hotelโ€™ operations wing and other important sections.

To honour the participants, certificates along with traditional Kunbi shawls, sarees, jackets, and Hotel Gift were presented by Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, Chairman of GTDC and Shri Satish Kumar, General Manager of the St. Regis Goa Resort.

Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar, Chairman of GTDC, was present at the certificate distribution ceremony. In his address, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity extended to GTDC staff to engage with one of Goaโ€™s premier luxury resorts. He emphasised that the experience and knowledge gained would contribute significantly to enhancing the quality of services offered by GTDC and tourism related services. Dr. Gaonkar also acknowledged the support and cooperation of The St. Regis team in organising the workshop.

30 senior officials of GTDC ranging from General Managers to Manager of the Residencies participated in the workshop.
