Manipal Hospital Goa has launched ‘Ek Ped Beti Ke Naam’, a continuing plantation initiative under which the hospital will plant a tree to commemorate the birth of every girl child born at the hospital. Six fruit-bearing saplings were planted at the launch, representing six girl-child deliveries recorded during the previous month.
