Goa Tourism to participate in the Great Indian Travel Bazaar 2025


Panaji, April 17, 2025 : The Department of Tourism, Government of Goa, is pleased to announce its participation in the 14th edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2025, scheduled to take place from 4th to 6th May 2025 in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Organised by the Government of Rajasthan; the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), GITB is one of India’s premier travel marts. It serves as a dynamic platform to showcase the country’s diverse tourism offerings to a wide network of international buyers and key industry stakeholders.

Goa’s participation in this prestigious event highlights its commitment to strengthening its footprint in the global tourism market. The Department aims to leverage this opportunity to forge new collaborations, expand outreach, and promote Goa as a year-round destination that offers far more than its celebrated coastline.

Through a series of B2B meetings, business networking opportunities, and interactive sessions, Goa Tourism will highlight the state’s evolving tourism ecosystem. From heritage trails and vibrant cultural experiences to nature and wellness tourism, hinterland adventures, and Regenerative Tourism initiatives, the Goa pavilion will present a holistic view of the state’s unique and responsible tourism practices.

Goa Tourism Expands Global Footprint with Engaging Roadshow in Doha


Goa, April 12, 2025: Goa Tourism, Government of Goa, successfully concluded its Tourism Roadshow in Doha, Qatar, on April 9, 2025.a The event witnessed an overwhelming response from key stakeholders in the travel and hospitality industry, further strengthening Goa’s position as a preferred travel destination.


Held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, State of Qatar, the roadshow provided a valuable platform for networking and collaboration, fostering new partnerships to enhance tourism opportunities in Goa. Travel industry professionals, dignitaries, and potential visitors engaged in fruitful discussions about Goa’s unique tourism offerings.
The highlight of the event was the ‘Goa Evening’, an enchanting cultural showcase that left the audience captivated. The evening featured vibrant folk-dance performances, an insightful destination presentation, and an exclusive film showcasing Goa’s diverse tourism experiences. Attendees had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich heritage, scenic landscapes, and warm hospitality that define Goa.

Key dignitaries, including the H.E. Ambassador of India to Qatar, Shri Vipul addressed the gathering, emphasizing Goa’s potential as a global tourism hub and inviting more travellers from Qatar to explore the state’s unparalleled beauty.

On this occasion, Hon’ble Tourism Minister Shri Rohan A. Khaunte conveyed his message saying, “Goa is evolving into a year-round, premium destination that offers far more than its iconic beaches. Through this roadshow in Qatar, we aim to showcase Goa’s rich spiritual heritage, vibrant hinterlands, and thriving adventure and MICE segments. From tranquil temple trails and heritage villages to world-class venues and immersive experiences, Goa is where tradition meets modern aspiration—inviting travellers from the Middle East to discover Goa beyond the beaches.”

Addressing the audience at the Goa Tourism roadshow, H.E. Ambassador of India to Qatar, Shri Vipul highlighted the strong people-to-people ties between India and Qatar which are also seen in robust tourism flows between the two countries. Indians are among the top travellers to Qatar and India has always been a top tourism destination for Qatar whether for leisure, shopping, health, adventure, etc. Goa has also emerged a favourite destination for travellers from Qatar who enjoy its beaches, cuisine and cultural offerings. The Goa roadshow should further enhance tourism from Qatar to the beautiful state.

Panaji; 9 April 2025: Goa Tourism is set to participate in the prestigious Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, scheduled to take place from 28th April to 1st May 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, UAE. The participation marks yet another step in Goa’s sustained efforts to strengthen its presence in the Middle East travel market and attract high-value travellers seeking authentic and meaningful experiences.

The Goa Tourism pavilion at ATM Dubai will highlight the state’s evolving tourism narrative — one that goes beyond the conventional sun, sand, and sea, and invite travellers to explore its unique culture, heritage, spiritual circuits, hinterland experiences, ecotourism, and regenerative travel opportunities.

With a strong focus on sustainable and responsible tourism, the delegation will also present new initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and upcoming festivals and events aimed at offering immersive experiences for both domestic and international visitors.

GTDC celebrates 43 years of excellence on Corporation Day


: The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) marked its 43rd Corporation Day commemorating over four decades of dedicated service towards enhancing tourism in Goa.

The event was graced by Shri Ganesh Gaonkar, Chairman of GTDC and MLA of Sanvordem Constituency; Shri Kuldeep Arolkar, Managing Director of GTDC; Shri Gavin Dias, General Manager (Hotels & Marketing), GTDC; Shri Laxmikant Vaigankar, General Manager (Admin) and President of the Staff Welfare Association, GTDC; Shri Kapil Paiguinkar, General Manager (Finance), GTDC; and Shri Deepak Narvekar, Deputy General Manager (Marketing) and Secretary of the Staff Welfare Association. Several other office bearers and staff members were also present to mark the occasion.

The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing prosperity and progress. The dignitaries on the dais were welcomed with plant saplings, reinforcing GTDC’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

All 10 GTDC residencies were recognized by presenting Awards Trophies to respective Managers and Staff for their commendable service and achievements. Additionally, members of the Staff Welfare Association were presented with mementos as a token of appreciation for their dedication at the hands of Chairman and Managing Director.

While addressing the gathering Chairman, GTDC, Shri Ganesh Gaonkar stated, “The outstanding performance of our residencies has played a key role in our growth, enabling us to contribute dividends to the government. I urge all teams to maintain their high standards and continue their exceptional efforts.”

Managing Director, GTDC, Shri Kuldeep Arolkar appreciated the staff for their dedication, stating, “Our team’s hard work and dedication have been pivotal in GTDC’s achievements. I encourage everyone to continue working with the same enthusiasm and dedication.”

The celebration also included a variety of engaging games and activities, with spot prizes awarded to participants. The winners of the Paithani competition were felicitated with prizes presented by the Chairman, adding to the vibrant spirit of the occasion.
