Goa’s tourism sector has recorded an impressive 6.23% overall growth in tourist arrivals from January to September 2025. Domestic arrivals rose by 5.36%, while international arrivals surged by 29.33%. Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte highlighted Goa’s strides toward responsible, sustainable, and year-round tourism, driven by new policies, better regulation, and expanding global connectivity.
Goa cements its position as a leading sports tourism destination with Goa Rugby 7s 2025 – Season 2, set to take place on 15–16 November at GMC Athletic Stadium, Bambolim. Supported by Goa Tourism and in collaboration with Crocotycles Rugby Foundation, the event promotes regenerative tourism, youth development, and international sporting appeal.
The 2025–26 charter season in Goa took off with the arrival of the first flight from Novosibirsk, Russia, at Manohar International Airport, Mopa, on October 2. The event signals a strong international travel resurgence and sets the tone for a high-demand year-end tourism season.
