Panaji, January 26, 2026: The much-anticipated Open category matches of the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2026 commenced on Republic Day at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and Panjim Gymkhana courts, marking Day Five of the tournament. Players across the menโ€™s singles draw began their campaigns in the prestigious 11th edition of the event.


Earlier in the tournamentโ€™s Masters categories, Mandar achieved a remarkable double by winning both the 45+ menโ€™s singles and 90+ menโ€™s doubles titles.

Panaji, January 25, 2026: The Masters events at the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2026 moved into a crucial phase on Saturday, with titles and finalists decided across singles and doubles categories at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and Gymkhana courts.


In the Masters 35+ mixed doubles final, Serbian nationals Milica Rakovic and Mladen Petrovic claimed the title with a composed 7โ€“5, 6โ€“1 victory. The pair displayed strong coordination and consistency to emerge champions in the category.

Other finals also delivered competitive encounters. Sunil Mishra lifted the Masters 55+ singles title after defeating Jai Mishra 6โ€“4, 6โ€“1. In the Masters 60+ singles final, Manoj Chandiramani staged an impressive comeback to overcome Sheetal Bhosale 3โ€“6, 6โ€“0, 10โ€“5.

The doubles semifinals saw dominant performances across categories. In the Masters 90+ menโ€™s doubles, Mandar and Ashish booked their place in the final with a commanding 6โ€“1, 6โ€“1 win over Jaydeep and Vivek. The Masters 120+ doubles semifinal featured a strong showing by father-son duo Shrikant Tambe and Amit Tambe, who defeated Chandiramani and Jeyavel 4โ€“2, 4โ€“2.

Ashutosh and Bipin advanced to the Masters 110+ doubles final after defeating Srinivas and Guruprasad 6โ€“1, while Sagar and Ashok joined them with a 6โ€“3 victory over Sachin and Kevin.

In the Masters 45+ singles category, defending champion Amit Tambe progressed to the final after a 6โ€“1 win over Naveen Cardozo, while Mandar Wakankar secured his place with a 6โ€“0 win earlier in the rounds.

The tournament, jointly organised by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and the Gadre Group in association with the Goa State Tennis Association (GSTA), has received a record 555 entries across the Masters and Open segments. Matches in the Open category will commence from January 26.

Registrations for the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2026 have officially closed, with the tournament recording a record-breaking 555 entries ahead of its 11th edition, marking a significant milestone in its journey as one of Goaโ€™s most prominent tennis events. Scheduled to be held from January 22 to February 1 at the iconic Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar, the tournament continues to draw players across age groups and competitive levels.

Jointly organised by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias and the Gadre Group in association with the Goa State Tennis Association, the tournament has once again witnessed strong participation across the Open, Junior and Masters categories. The 2026 edition is also notable for the introduction of the ladiesโ€™ doubles category for the first time, adding a new dimension to the competition.

The Open menโ€™s singles category has attracted the highest participation with 111 entries, while the Open menโ€™s doubles event has seen 37 pairs register. The Open ladiesโ€™ singles category has drawn 32 entries, with 14 pairs competing in the newly introduced ladiesโ€™ doubles. The Open mixed doubles segment has recorded 18 teams.

Junior participation has remained encouraging, with 25 players in the boysโ€™ under-16 category and 14 in the girlsโ€™ under-16 event. In the under-12 division, 14 boys and five girls have registered, reflecting steady grassroots engagement in the sport.

The Masters segment has also recorded strong numbers, led by 70 entries in the 45+ menโ€™s singles category, followed by 42 entries in the 60+ menโ€™s singles and 30 entries in the 55+ menโ€™s singles. In doubles, the 90+ menโ€™s doubles category has emerged as the most subscribed with 60 teams, while the 110+ and 120+ doubles categories have recorded 43 and 32 teams respectively. The 35+ mixed doubles event has attracted eight teams.

Speaking on the occasion, Tanmay Kholkar, Secretary of Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, said the tournament holds special significance this year as it coincides with the centenary celebrations of the club. Goa State Tennis Association President Sameer Kakodkar noted that the rising participation reflects the growing confidence players have in the tournament as a reliable and competitive platform across age groups.

Arjun Gadre of the Gadre Group expressed satisfaction at the sustained interest in the event, stating that the continued growth of the tournament reinforces its relevance within Goaโ€™s sporting landscape. With matches spread over eleven days, the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2026 is expected to deliver high-quality competition and continue its legacy as one of the most keenly followed tennis tournaments in the state.

Panaji, Jan 2025 – The tenth edition of the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2025, a premier tennis tournament, is set to kick off at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Miramar on January 23. With a record breaking 533 entries received, the event promises a thrilling display of talent from a diverse range of participants, including veterans, seasoned professionals and promising juniors.

Organised jointly by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Goa’s first tennis club and the Gadre Group, in collaboration with the Goa State Tennis Association (GSTA), the tournament has garnered tremendous interest this year in the tennis fraternity.

In the tournamentโ€™s Masters segment, the 45+ category has received the highest number of entries, 61, followed by 55 entries in the Masters doubles 90+ and 40 in the Masters doubles 110+ category. Other entries include 30 in the Masters doubles 120+, 32 in the Masters singles 60+ and 30 in the Masters singles 55+ category. The 35+ mixed doubles, the only mixed category in the Masters segment, has recorded 11 entries. 

The Open category also boasts significant participation, led by 118 entries in the menโ€™s singles and 43 teams in the menโ€™s doubles. The ladiesโ€™ singles category has drawn 28 entries, while the Open mixed doubles segment has 23 teams. In the junior divisions, the boys under-16 category has 26 entries, the girls under-16 category has 15 entries, the boys under-12 category has 13 entries, while eight players have registered to participate in the girls under-12 category.

Panaji, January 2025 โ€“ Registration for the tenth edition of the Gadre Gaspar Dias Open 2025, one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the country, is now underway. 

Tournament organisers have said that this yearโ€™s edition has so far attracted over 250 entries across various categories, underscoring the tournamentโ€™s popularity among seasoned athletes and emerging talent from Goa and outside the state. 

Organised by Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias in Panaji, in partnership with the Goa State Tennis Association (GSTA) and supported by the Gadre Group, the tournament attracts top tennis talent from across India. Scheduled to begin on January 23, this one-of-a-kind event in Goa promises thrilling competition in both the Masters and Open categories, showcasing the skill and prowess of seasoned players and rising stars alike from the state as well as the rest of the country. 

Registration for the tournament closes on January 15.

The tournament is scheduled to begin with the masters category matches from January 23 to January 26, followed by the intensely competitive open category matches from January 27 to February 2.

The categories in the masters segment are  masters singles 45+, masters singles 55+, masters singles 60+, masters doubles 90+ (min age 35), masters doubles 110+ (min age 40), veteran doubles 120+ (min age 40) and 35+ mixed doubles โ€“ the only mixed category in the Masters segment. The rest of the Masters events are exclusively for men.

The open category features six sub-categories: under-12 (girls and boys), under-16 (girls and boys), menโ€™s singles, ladiesโ€™ singles, menโ€™s doubles and mixed doubles.
