The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued the Immigration and Foreigners (Exemption) Order, 2025. Under the notification, citizens of Nepal and Bhutan can continue to enter India without a passport or visa. Additionally, persecuted minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan who arrived before 31 December 2024 are exempted from certain provisions.
