Balaji Srinivasanโ€™s โ€œNetwork Schoolโ€ Island: A Visionary Hub for the Future of Work and Learning

In a bold and unconventional move, Indian-origin tech entrepreneur Balaji Srinivasan has bought a private island near Singapore and transformed it into โ€œThe Network Schoolโ€โ€”a living, learning, and building space tailored for todayโ€™s digital pioneers.

Srinivasan, known for his futurist ideas and as a former CTO of Coinbase and General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, has long championed decentralized governance and startup societies through his book The Network State. With โ€œThe Network School,โ€ heโ€™s bringing those philosophies to lifeโ€”literallyโ€”on an island.

Designed as a real-world prototype of a โ€œNetwork State,โ€ the island functions as a blended innovation campus and intentional community. It offers:

  • Start-Up Studios for builders and hackers
  • Remote Work Retreats for digital nomads and coders
  • Biohacking & Wellness Zones for fitness enthusiasts and longevity seekers
  • Education Programs for alternative thinkers and self-learners

The island emphasizes physical and digital infrastructure designed to nurture deep work, collaboration, and personal growth. From high-speed satellite internet to calisthenics rings under palm trees, every detail is curated to support a balanced high-performance lifestyle.

The venture has drawn global attentionโ€”not just from the startup world but also from futurists, educators, and urban planners eager to see how such an environment could redefine how we live, learn, and create.

Srinivasan calls it a โ€œprototype of a parallel societyโ€โ€”and possibly a glimpse into what future decentralized nations might look like.

As global debates around remote work, education reform, and digital citizenship heat up, The Network School island stands as a bold, tangible experiment in living differently.

iPhone 17 Pro Max Rumored to Pack a Game-Changing 5,000 mAh Battery

Apple might be preparing its most powerful iPhone battery upgrade yet. According to new leaks surfacing online, the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to feature a 5,000 mAh batteryโ€”a first for Apple and a significant leap over previous models.

If true, this would make it the largest battery ever in an iPhone, promising longer screen time, enhanced multitasking, and a serious win for gamers, photographers, and heavy users who demand more juice from their devices.

Currently, the iPhone 15 Pro Max features a 4,422 mAh battery, and even the best optimization canโ€™t beat sheer capacity. A jump to 5,000 mAh could finally close the battery gap between iPhones and many top-tier Android devices, which have long offered larger cells.

This rumored upgrade aligns with growing expectations from users for better battery life, especially as features like always-on displays, AI-enhanced performance, and 5G connectivity become the norm.

Of course, Apple hasnโ€™t confirmed any of these details yet. The iPhone 17 series is expected to launch in late 2025, so until then, this news remains speculativeโ€”but very exciting.

If the 5,000 mAh rumor holds true, it could redefine expectations for iPhone performance and endurance in a big way.

ISRO Announces New Space Station in Gujarat โ€“ Indiaโ€™s Second-Largest After Sriharikota

In a landmark step toward expanding Indiaโ€™s space exploration infrastructure, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has officially announced plans to build the countryโ€™s second-largest space station in Gujarat.

This major development positions Gujarat as a new hub for Indiaโ€™s ever-growing aerospace and satellite launch capabilities. Currently, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh serves as Indiaโ€™s premier and largest spaceport, home to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre and the site of numerous historic launches, including Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan missions.

๐Ÿงญ Why Gujarat?

The proposed site in Gujarat is strategically chosen for its geographical and logistical advantages, including vast land availability, proximity to major infrastructure, and the stateโ€™s growing support for science and technology sectors.

ISRO officials stated that the new station will include satellite integration facilities, launchpad infrastructure, command control centres, and support for future human spaceflight missions under programs like Gaganyaan 2.0.

๐Ÿ”ญ Expanding Indiaโ€™s Space Frontier

This announcement comes at a time when Indiaโ€™s space ambitions are scaling rapidly. With increasing global collaborations, deep-space missions, and satellite launches across sectors like defence, agriculture, and telecommunications, the need for multiple high-capacity spaceports is greater than ever.

The Gujarat station will:

  • Reduce the burden on Sriharikota
  • Enable higher launch frequency
  • Support larger payloads
  • Create opportunities for public-private partnerships in space technology

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿš€ Looking Ahead

With India eyeing lunar bases, solar missions, and possibly interplanetary probes, the Gujarat space station will play a crucial role in ensuring both mission success and international competitiveness in space exploration.

Construction timelines, detailed design plans, and investment details are expected to be unveiled in upcoming briefings by ISRO and the Government of India.
